FAQs

Why dont i see afterpay at check out?

1

The client must have an account with Afterpay, Clearpay or Klarna. Accounts are free.

If the order total is less than one dollar, or over the spending limit for the customer’s country, Afterpay or Clearpay won’t appear as a payment option at checkout.

LIMITS: US: $1-$2000 USD

Let us know if you are unable to select afterpay at checkout. We can send you a private link that may resolve the issue.

Clients may also be able to work around this issue by adding an Afterpay or Affirm card to their phone “wallet” and using tap-to-pay at checkout. This will allow the client to choose a payment plan when the option may not be available from the POS checkout.

can i get my tattoo before its paid off?

2

YES! Working with Afterpay, Clearpay & Klarna allows the client to get the tattoo now and pay in installments. The shop will receive the full amount up front and the payments are made between the client and the pay-later app they choose. You can schedule your tattoo right away!

what is the most expensive tattoo i can get with pay later?

3

Each client will have their own unique spending limit. These limits are based on data collected by the pay later app you choose. Clients will typically be able to spend between $300 & $4,000. If a client has already been using an app like Klarna and they have built trust with the lender they can easily be approved for over $1000.00 USD - Divinely Inkd encourages you to carefully choose your plan and be sure you are able to maintain payments required to pay off the loan in full. Don’t overextend yourself. We want you to get the tattoo, but we also care about our clients.

what if i miss a payment?

4

Payments are made through your pay-later app. The app is the lender. If you miss a payment that will be a matter handled directly through your app and not associated with the tattoo studio. You will not owe the tattoo studio and there will be no penalties associated with the tattoo studio. Read your agreement and terms thoroughly for the repayment app and plan you pick. Each lender has different interest rates and penalties for missing a payment. Klarna and Affirm offer skip payment options for qualifying clients.
